moving on

it's funny how its only been less than 2 months but everything have moved on so fast.

what we were previously lamenting/complaining/ranting on earlier in the year has already somehow all found its own solutions.

unhappy boys and girls have become happy boys and girls, at least for now.

likewise for me, i have moved.

that's also the reason why i've always mingled around with livejournal but find myself back to this old, rusty cove.

it's really the familiarity that makes me comfortable, despite the ugliness and lousy html and all.

still, this move is more or less happening now. the ugliness has finally taken its toll on me.

after a day's work at the library, slut and i will head down to fong seng for prata. we've had it so many times, i think this march alone, the amount of prata i've consumed has already exceeded the total amount of prata i've had my entire life so far.

anyway, point is, this time round we took some pretty pictures worth blogging about.

thats slut looking happy with his usual order of 2 egg, 1 kosong and a teh tarik.

and the teh tarik looking normal but the kopi beside it wasn't. i swear i wasn't expecting the froth on it when i ordered my normal kopi. anyhow, it tasted nice. and i was mildly amused by the look of it too. very, fusion.

just when i thought the day couldn't get any suckier, my last tuition stop of the day actually made me quite a happy person.

first, there was the beancurd-skin with barley and ginko nut dessert offered by the very nice mom (who didn't even mind that i was half-hr late!), which i kinda need badly due to the lack of a proper lunch and very very low energy levels.

then the boy today was surprisingly well-behaved! he listened to all my instructions and did all his work pretty well. oh boy, its quite a rare thing really.

and i was even allowed to borrow his gaming magazine home to read and return him the next lesson.

on the way home from the primary school gathering, the trio, at the spur of the moment, decided to drop by chomps for supper.

sambal stingray, soya beancurd and sugarcane juice.

it's a good night.

bringin' sexy back

adel learnt a few french words today, and about a grand total of 1 proper french sentence.

so now i know the pronounciations and spellings from numbers 1 to 20, with the exception of the number 16 because darling slut forgot how it sound.

un, deux, trois, quatre, cinq, six, sept, huit, neuf, dix, onze, douze, treize, quatorzo, quinze, 16, dix-sept, dix-huit, dix-neuf, vingt

woohoo. pardon if there're any spelling mistakes here cos i typed it out from memory. lol.

i have also learnt how to introduce myself in french and the french word for 'starters' (as in restaurant starters, food starters) is hors d'oeuvre.

most importantly, i have also learnt the full sentence-
'la reine c'est moi',

literally translated to 'the queen am i'. lol.

an update on the 2 holes- they're doing fine now. i play with the metal bar often, shifting them left and right, lifting them up and down. so fun.

i also get the occasional stare from the uncle sitting beside me on the train. or people taking a double look to make sure i was wearing a bracelet. lol.

be careful not to brush it against anything that threatens to hold the damn bar back though. it'll hurt(a lil) . for example, this morning while i was ruffling through the wardrobe to pick out an outfit for the day, the damn bar got caught on one of the hangars and that was a minor ouch. beats getting the bar bitten off by your pet dog. lol.

you'll also notice how the skin is slowly rejecting the bar when the holes at both ends are becoming less attached to the ball bearing.

anyhow, they're great fun. just might do it again.

i was mother bored this evening, so i painted the toenails. auntie red now. perfect with my auntie birkenstocks.
